One of the things I love about living in the Texas Hill Country is living IN nature and not some concrete jungle.
My home is surrounded by not just a few trees but "The Woods", Yes I can see my neighbors but it's not a master planned community where the tree's have been planted - one or two in each front yard and you are on your own if you want some in the side or back yard. Then there is driving around town or even walking across campus. What have I seen: Deer, Armadillos, Racoons, Road Runners, Hummingbirds, Foxes, Cranes, Tangers, SwallowTail Butterflies, Monarch Butterflies, and more. Nature inspires me, I love walking and seeing something new and taking pictures and trying to draw something from the picture. I am taking Beginning Drawing this semester and I hope to get better at that. Here are two recent pictures - the deer were in my neighbors yard and the crane was in the San Marcos River at Sewell Park.
